There are five connection methods for the LCD module:
1. Zebra strip connection.
2. Metal pin connection.
3. Heat seal connector connection.
4. Hot pressing integrated circuit chip (COG).
5. Heat press the packaging with tape.
The selection of LCD modules also needs to be based on the actual situation:
1. Display content
When choosing to buy an LCD liquid crystal module, the display content of the screen is considered, and the dot matrix is determined according to the display content. Secondly, the size (including shape and effective display area) of the liquid crystal is determined according to the structure.
2. Use environment
Then consider the environment in which the display screen will be used: temperature, light, humidity, mechanical strength, etc. (Temperature type: normal temperature type 0-+50 degrees, wide temperature type -20-+70 degrees); In addition, according to the lighting conditions of the use environment, choose a) and reflective type (no backlight, lighting or daytime use), suitable for Outdoors with strong light. b) Transflective (with backlight, lighting or dark part), the backlight can be turned on and off according to the light, suitable for outdoor use. c) Transmissive (with backlight, lighting or dark), the backlight must be turned on, not suitable for outdoor use.
In the actual use of liquid crystal modules, due to the structure of the product, electromagnetic interference, oil pollution, etc., it is always necessary to keep the liquid crystal module away from the control panel as much as possible, such as the application of early medical equipment, industrial equipment, vehicle monitors, etc. So the question is, how long is the connection between the LCD module and the motherboard?
Since the LCD module outputs SPI signals, it is not suitable for long-distance connection. Generally speaking, if the signal exceeds 50 cm, the signal will be weak and may cause abnormal display. The connection line control line is best controlled within 30CM. In order to eliminate electromagnetic interference, oil pollution and other problems, the anti-electromagnetic interference ability of the liquid crystal module can be enhanced by adding a shielding cover. If necessary, a shielded connection cable should be selected. Or add a closed box outside the liquid crystal module, and the front is closed with a transparent sheet, which can theoretically isolate pollution such as flying dust and oil. If the box behind the LCD module is a metal shell, it can also play an anti-interference role.
