TFT LCD backlight wires fall off and the solution for backlight correction?

2022 08/03

The red and black lines welded by the backlight of the LCD screen are relatively thin, and because the thickness is relatively thin, the positive and negative pads cannot be made too large, which may cause problems. When the customer assembled the backlight, the welding line accidentally fell off, affecting the production progress. Therefore, when encountering such a problem, first of all, be extra careful when welding, put as much tin as possible to increase the adhesion of the weld. Another way is to add additional steps after soldering.

Therefore, when encountering such a problem, we must be extra careful when welding, and try to put as much tin as possible to increase the adhesion of the weld. Another method is to add an additional process after soldering, that is, dispensing glue on the pad, the glue needs to be resistant to high temperature and wrap the entire pad.

Depending on the application, point-by-point correction systems are divided into two types:

A single LED backlight source is calibrated point by point on the production line, one by one, to ensure that each backlight source that leaves the factory is highly uniform;

On-site large-screen correction point by point, select a suitable viewing position for on-site correction in the LED full-color large screen display site, and ensure that the display screen is highly uniform at the on-site observation position;

Point correction is divided into chromaticity correction and luminance correction.

Brightness correction is the correction of LED luminous intensity. Currently, due to the lack of good color resolution, some calibration instruments cannot accurately measure spectral differences, so they can only measure luminous intensity, not colorimetric deviations.

Chromaticity calibration refers to the calibration method of photometric instruments with strong color resolution, which can accurately measure the brightness and chromaticity of LEDs.

Therefore, when using different batches of tail LED screens with the same dominant wavelength, it is necessary to correct the brightness and chromaticity. Not only can the brightness of the entire LED electronic display be consistent, but also the color display effect of the screen can be presented normally.
