Generally speaking, electronic devices are more prone to damage in autumn and winter, including LCD screens. As an expensive electronic product, how to maintain the LCD industrial screen during this period?
In addition to regular maintenance, there are three areas to be aware of: static electricity, condensation, and low temperatures.
One: low temperature
Low temperature will affect the operation of the LCD screen. The operating temperature range of the outdoor LCD display is -20℃-60℃. Low temperature can reduce the activity of various parts of the semiconductor device, and even cause the device to fail to start. Some plastic parts will crack due to low temperatures. Therefore, pay attention to the operating temperature of the LCD screen when purchasing. Do not open the LCD screen when the temperature is too low, and regularly check the screen for damage. In extremely cold conditions, heating can be added to the screen.
Two: Static electricity
Static electricity is one of the killers of LCD screens. This will shorten the life of the screen and damage the electronic components and screen. Whether it is an indoor LCD display or an outdoor LCD display, static electricity is easily generated, which brings security problems to the display screen. By installing a ground wire, static electricity can be transferred to the ground in time. When operating the screen, you must wear a wrist strap to prevent the screen from being damaged by static electricity.
Three: condensate frost
Condensation is another threat faced by LCD industrial screens, which seriously affects outdoor LCD industrial screens. While we often waterproof outdoor LCD screens, moisture in the air can cause condensation. Water droplets will adhere to the surface of the PCB circuit board and LCD module. If the waterproof treatment is not good, it will damage the PCB board and the module, which will reduce the service life of the LCD screen or even damage it. The solution is to opt for a screen with a waterproof paint, like Esdlumen's Helios line, or apply an informal coat of paint to the screen when you buy it.
